Partial Package Prenatal Care ONLY - 3 Prenatal Visits scheduled between 25-38 weeks - Visits will cover the following: Fill out or review your birth plan. Body mechanics, posture, pelvic tilts, Kegels Stages of labor review *Balloon & Ping Pong Ball* Body’s normal physiological response to pain: Fear-Tension-Pain Cycle Physiological benefits of relaxation Various breathing techniques Signs of pre-labor and labor Emotional and physical response of birthing person to labor Back labor Pushing Hospital procedures: admission, labor & delivery, postpartum, discharge Ways of handling pain and comfort measures Discuss how they FEEL about Medical interventions: Forceps and vacuum extraction Amniotomy (breaking your water) Episiotomy – research, how to prevent Induction/augmentation: natural ways and medical ways Medical pain management: epidurals, narcotics, other Partial Postpartum Care ONLY- 1 visit in hospital after birth to assist with latching if breast feeding and to assess how your labor and birth journey was. 3 postpartum visits after birth at home - visits include light house work, infant care, healing care, swaddling and importance of swaddling long term, breaks so that you can nap and/or shower.
