Meet the Doula's
I have always been inspired by the strength of women and the miracle of birth. This is why From Womb to Arms Doula Services was founded and am proud to serve women and families throughout Louisiana and neighboring states.
Every woman deserves to have someone there to guide and assist them in making educated choices about their pregnancy, and remind them that they can trust the strength of their bodies during this time. We are here to provide unbiased information, emotional support, as well as physical support.

Sarah Jones
Early on in life, I knew I wanted to be a care taker of some sort. I have worked in several medical fields and opportunities but nothing really felt right or like it was my purpose. My high school sweetheart and I took on the challenge of raising a teenager who we consider our oldest. We quickly grew to a family of 5! My pregnancy and birth journey sparked my interest in the benefits of having a doula. Having that passion and knowledge of care taking I knew that I wanted to dive into the birth education world. Working as a Doula since 2020, I feel honored to share my expertise with women and families in Livingston Parish and surrounding areas. I approach birth holistically and through physical support during labor. My role is to help couples learn how to advocate and gain the knowledge of all their options to make decisions that will meet their anticipated experience. I assist during pregnancy, labor  and birth, and postpartum care. I have also discovered a strong desire and professional ability to offer placenta encapsulation and exquisite gourmet lactation snacks for all my clients.
Tamy Gholar
I am a native of Louisiana, a graduate of LSU, and a mother of 2. I discovered my love in caregiving for infants and small children during my teen years and became a mom after high school. However, after going to college and gaining a career in secondary education for some years, I recalled the joy I had in taking care of infants and toddlers. As my mind became consumed with these memories and the experiences I had through my own pregnancies, childbirths, and the days/weeks that followed, it became clear to me that I was being called to help other moms and their newborns. Finally, in 2020 I decided to answer this call and pursue a career that would allow me to help educate and assist other mothers in their childbirth journey. I have trained through the Academy of Certified Birth Educators in Labor and Lactation support. My desire is to offer my knowledge and support to moms--before, during, and after labor/childbirth in a way that best supports them in their choice of birthing-- natural or medicated. It will be a joy, honor, and privilege for you to allow me to be a part of your journey as your Doula!
